

Palefest 2026 — Official Vendor Code of Conduct
The following Vendor Code of Conduct applies to all registered vendors of Palefest 2026, including booth operators, assistants, employees, volunteers, and any individuals representing a vendor. These rules are mandatory. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the festival grounds, loss of vending privileges, and potential legal consequences.
1. Professional Conduct

Vendors must act professionally at all times.

Treat attendees, staff, performers, and other vendors with respect.

Harassment, threats, discrimination, intimidation, or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.

Vendors must conduct business ethically and follow all festival rules.
2. Family-Friendly Standards
Palefest is a family event. All merchandise, displays, audio, and visuals must comply with the following:

Absolutely no nudity, pornography, or sexualized imagery.
-
No overtly satanic, pedophilic, abusive, or exploitative content.
-
No depictions of harm, torture, or abuse toward children, adults, or animals.
-
No excessively graphic violence.
-
Vendors unsure about specific items must request pre-approval.
3. Merchandise Rules

Vendors may NOT sell any Palefest-branded merchandise.
-
Mask Vendors must only sell mask-related products.
-
Arts & Crafts Vendors must follow the $40-per-item maximum price cap.

No bootleg, counterfeit, or unauthorized intellectual property items.
-
All products must be legal and appropriate.
4. Booth Operation Requirements

Booths must remain open and staffed during festival operating hours.
-
Vendors must keep booth areas clean, safe, and hazard-free.
-
Displays must not block walkways or interfere with neighboring booths.
-
Volume from speakers or demonstrations must remain reasonable.

Vendors may NOT sell or distribute alcohol or illegal substances.
5. Vendor Camping Rules
Vendors camping on-site must follow:

All campground rules and regulations.
-
All vendor code of conduct rules.
-
Quiet hours set by Palefest and Land of Illusion.
-
No open flames except approved devices.
-
No disruptive or unsafe late-night activity.
Vendor violations in the camping area count as festival violations.
6. Safety Requirements

Vendors must follow all safety instructions from festival staff.
-
Electrical cords, equipment, and displays must be secure and in good condition.
-
Hazardous tools or materials must be pre-approved.
-
Any safety issue must be reported immediately.

Vendors must comply with all applicable laws of the state of Ohio, United State of America.
7. Sales, Taxes, and Legal Compliance

Vendors are responsible for managing and reporting their own taxes.

Vendors must comply with all applicable business laws and licensing requirements of vendors state as well as the state of Ohio.

Illegal merchandise or illegal business activity is strictly prohibited.
8. Live Demonstrations

All live demonstrations must be pre-approved by Palefest.
-
No fire, weapons, sharp tools, chemicals, or dangerous materials without explicit permission.
-
Approved demonstrations may qualify for a free booth, depending on content and safety.
9. Alcohol, Substances & Behavior
-
Vendors must not operate a booth while intoxicated.
-
Illegal substances are prohibited everywhere on festival property.
-
Disorderly conduct or unsafe behavior will result in removal.
10. Respect for Venue & Property
-
Vendors must respect festival grounds, buildings, and attraction areas.
-
Damage to property—intentional or accidental—may result in financial liability.
-
All Land of Illusion rules must be followed in addition to Palefest rules.
11. Compliance & Inspections

Staff may inspect booths at any time for violations.
-
Vendors must correct issues immediately when instructed.
-
Severe violations may result in immediate removal without refund.
12. Enforcement & Penalties
Violating the Vendor Code of Conduct may result in:

A verbal warning (when appropriate)
-
Required corrective action
-
Temporary booth shutdown
-
Permanent removal from the event
-
Trespass from the property
-
Loss of future vending opportunities
-
Legal action, depending on severity
Severe violations include: harassment, endangerment, illegal activity, prohibited merchandise, refusal to follow instructions, or safety threats.
13. Agreement
By registering as a vendor for Palefest 2026, you acknowledge that you:

Have read and understand this Vendor Code of Conduct.

Agree to follow all rules and instructions.
-
Accept full responsibility for your booth, staff, and activities.
-
Understand violations may lead to removal, trespass, or legal consequences.
